I am directed by the Board of Trade to transmit,

herewith, to be laid before the Secretary of State for

the Colonies, a copy of a Report which has been received

from the Cables (Landing Rights) Committee upon the

subject of communication between the proposed wireless

telegraph station of the Eastern Extension and Marconi

Companies at Hong Kong and the proposed station of the

Chinese Government at Pratas Island.

I am to add that the Board assume that, if Lord

Crewe sees no objection, he will take the necessary

steps to give effect to the recommendations of the

Committee contained in the Report.
